I spent a month touring the US with space rock band the Ozric Tentacles as their support act. Our luxury tour bus (previous band Aerosmith) took us all along the east coast, across the centre and over to San Fransisco and Los Angeles to audiences of over 1,000 people. We finished at the Whisky Bar on Sunset Boulevard to an audience that included Timothy Leary. He said of my Ultravision show: 'Amazing - I've never seen anything like it!'.
The succes of the trip led to more tours with the Ozrics around Italy and the UK.
MIDI Circus Tour
JANUARY 2nd 1994
Performed my sound and light show Ultravision alongisde Orbital, Eat Static, System 7, Spooky and more as part of the legendary MIDI Circus tour. The NME's review of Megadog's new year bash at the Brixton Academy said "Ultravision offered a masterful demonstration of world class juggling".
I joined the performance troupe Firenoise near its beginning in Oxford, 1990. We put on large outdoor fireshows to the sounds of "savages beating the hell out of metal drums and cans" (Oxford Times). We did shows at Glastonbury, Topedo town free festival, raves, balls and wherever else would have us from 1990-1993.
I started out as a drummer but soon took up juggling and a combination of 10 hour training sessions and plenty of creativity all around meant I learnt fast.
In 1992 Firenoise made its first venture into the theatre with the show 'Jugannath'.
